Blaming Hezbollah : Reality and Myth

OK now we enter to the fourth week in the Lebanese -Israeli war , and it seems to me despite all the circumstances in the region , Israel lost the war except if we consider killing civilians and destroying the infra-structure of other countries is some sort of victory , as I said Israel lost the war militarily it cannot advance more then 6 kilometres in the Lebanese South and Hezbollah against all odds won , to become the first resistance group in the new century that defeats a state army . Yet despite this victory from day one Hezbollah faced alot of criticism ,some of it is right ,some of it is wrong , some of it is unacceptable .

Here is what I think about the Criticism and blame

If we went back to the 12th of July 2006 when Hezbollah captured two soldiers from the IDF ,by the way i use the word "Captured" not "Kidnapped" just like the believer president G.W.Bush used it in the G8 Summit press conference. Hezbollah was blamed and criticised by the Arab world including our old man in Egypt Mubarak of how dare this party to do such operation with out informing the official state with it !! Now the Lebanese state is stuck and all Lebanon is punished .

All Lebanon is punished and this is unjust ,this true , but informing the state ,well we must stop here. "in fact this reminds me with Haifa Wahaby's wise words when she said "no one took our opinion in the war !!"

There are two ministers in the cabinet in Lebanon from Hezbollah and in the National talks between the different parties there was a 100% approval that Hezbollah handles the Lebanese P.O.W file , the cabinet accept this arrangement , the different Lebanese parties including the 14th of March accepted it . And this is based upon the successful exchange of P.O.W Hezbollah led in 2003 . Now the famous technique and the only technique Hezbollah uses to bring back the Lebanese P.O.W is through capturing Israeli soldiers and exchange them through indirect negotiation , Hezbollah won't go to the UN or IJC , no way , this is the sole route for it , so when the Lebanese government said that it is OK for this party to handle this file alone , then it already knew that sooner or later Hezbollah was going to do what it is good at , So I don't know why there is surprise and condemnation from the government and they already made their choice .Same thing for the blamers in the Arabic regimes , I am sorry but there is no Arabic regime cared for the arab P.O.W in the Israeli prisons ,I am so naive how they care for them and already they jail their own people !! Even the arab League didn't care to stand for them . This is number one concerning the information point

Number two , an operation like this Nasrallah himself said that they were preparing for it since 2003 , so three years in secret preparations and the mightily Mossad was surprised with it and more surprise with the small hobbits that destroyed Morder Army , a great intelligence success Hezbollah achieved ,already Dr.Nabil Farouk wrote about it today in El-Dostor , this success could be jeopardised if anyone outside Hezbollah knew about it including the government itself .

Hezbollah should not be blamed for the over reaction of Israel that turned in to a war ,a complete war to return back two soldiers . Hezbollah should not be blamed for punishing all Lebanon , it didn't punish Lebanon , for God sake this small resistance is defending Lebanon and protecting it from another invasion. Israel is one to be blamed ,after all in this over reaction ,forbidden weapons were used , Infra-structure was used and there are over one million evacuees .

Hezbollah didn't exist in 1982 when the first Invasion for Lebanon happened , do you know why it happened in the first place ?? The P.L.O made an operation against the Israeli Ambassador in London and if my memory was correct this operation failed too , so to teach Arafat and his gang the lesson of their lives ,the IDF led by Sharon in his golden years invaded Beirut ,destroyed it and took photographs over the roof of the Kuwaiti Embassy "There is something between Sharon and Kuwait , you see in the Dafrsoir 1973 the troops that were guarding the area were Kuwaiti too " and Sabre and Shatila occurred then not to mention the South of Lebanon was taken

Israel plan is too simple ,it is trying to make the public in Lebanon against Hezbollah pushing the country over a complete approval on disarming this Shiite party which can led to a civil war , already no one knows how many for sure is the number of Hezbollah members and troops not to mention their weapons which surprised both America and Israel ,but even if we put Hezbollah Shiite party a side , you will find that there is already one million armed Shiite in Lebanon.

Hezbollah is ruling the South of Lebanon indirectly , the south is completely neglected and this is so obvious , Hezbollah not to be blamed because despite all the rumours of its fundings , it is so modest compared to the needs of the south from development . The Shiite movements like this party and Amal movement are trying their best but of course it can't reach the required level . If there will be any kind of blame , I will blame both Amal and Hezbollah for not building shelters like those in North Israel ,so instead of evacuating people and departing to the North of Lebanon causing a burden especially the schools will be opened next month and also winter is getting closer not to mention the holy month of Ramadan , people will stay in their shelters.

Ironically all those blamers and critics are forgetting to blame Israel for using this ultimate power against the people of Lebanon , anyone who got brain in his mind and think logically and also justly will tell immediately that this is no punishment for Hezbollah, it is punishment for a whole country and trial for pushing it toward a civil war .

Those blamers are acting as if kidnapping two Israeli soldiers is a taboo despite the fact Israel is kidnapping most of the Palestinian Cabinet and Parliament just from two days ago they kidnapped the head of the Palestinian Parliament ,great respectable man with lots of PhD !!

Blaming Hezbollah because it woke the mighty jenny , guys the jenny was planning for this sooner or later ,already it kills Palestinians day and night , so what is the new thing?

The real face of the Israeli regime appeared and read my words Israeli regime ,I didn't use the word of Israel or Israeli people because also I know the other side , the people themselves got different image , regimes always sent its people to hell by its policies just like the Israeli regime . It is not about security of Israel and its people anymore it is about cold calculations and stupid arrogance that made the Israeli people for a real danger for the first since very long time .Today on NewTv I saw a report about a funeral of family that was killed yesterday in a raid while they were having lunch , 7 persons ,a father , a mother and 5 children, the grand father a very old man is one who is burying them , the reporter asked him

"What will cold your fire?"

this is an Arabic expression comes from the feeling the Arab has when he is so angry and sad that he or she feels that there is a fire inside him or her if he or she didn't have his /her revenge,

the grand father said in a very sad yet determined voice

"When Israel is erased"

i can't describe how sad and angry he was "We kill their soldiers and they kill our civilians " strange thing yesterday Hassan Nasrallah said it by word in his weekly speech.

anyway back to the game of blame

Another silly blame and accusation to Hezbollah that it destroyed Peace , what Peace ,the peace process is already dead , just like Amr Moses said .Peace is built upon Mutual respect and understanding ,and from what I see and know I find that the Israeli side doesn't respect us at all , if it does it won't target the civilians like this , it won't destroy the infrastructure of Lebanon, by the way what Peace they want now after 1000 dead mostly children fell in this war and the number is increasing ,those 1000 have a family member that certainly thinks in the same the grand father I mentioned above thinks , in revenge and the disappearance of Israel from the map and I am sorry to say they have their right to think in this term ,just like the Israelis who want the disappearance of Hezbollah.

After Camp David treaty with Egypt , Peace agreement between the Arab countries and Israel became very weak and bad to the Arab world , it is always in the sake of Israel despite that the two must give up some rights ,the Arabs usually are the one who are doing this, in what is called "Security for Peace " or "Small Land for Peace" , by the way the Israeli side and American administration wants the Lebanese government to accept the first option "Security for Peace" forget Shabaa farm ,forget the P.O.W just give up the two boys and disarm Hezbollah and we will stop bombing you ,despite the fact the IDF is losing the battles in south Lebanon and that 's why the Lebanese government is sticking with its 7 points , it shouldn't accept anything after all and it is the winner

There is also a famous blame to Hezbollah that it is a means in the hand of Iran, I am sorry are n't all the Arab regimes except the Syrian means in the hands of the United States ?? I don't know which is more dangerous to be a means in the hands of Iran and Syria or to be a means in the hands of the United States. There is no danger now on the arab world from the Irani-Syrian support to Hezbollah now , they are defending their country and their land ,there will be danger if for example Hezbollah decided to open its fire on the other people for Sunni and Christians in Lebanon to make another Shiite country in Lebanon to fulfil the so-called Irani dream and to avenge from Christians and Sunni for Syria after their coalition to end the Syrian control on Lebanon last year. But this is not happening on the contrary

Hassan Nasrallah is not jeopardising by his country and his people ,I am but the one who really caused this mess is the Lebanese government for letting the Lebanese army as weak as it is ,which gave the IDF the freedom to do what ever it wants in the country ,Hassan Nasrallah and his men would n't have been existed if there were a strong Lebanese army in the country that could defend its land ,not even to return Shabaa farms but to defend it in the time of war, according to the international laws Lebanon has the right to answer by its army on the aggression of the IDF even in Israel itself as Israel declared the war , but of course the weak Lebanese army doesn't hold a chance . Some will blame Syria for not having a strong Lebanese army , this wrong , the blame is on the Lebanese Politicians who got busy in other projects about tourism and hotels and forgot that there is a fierce enemy on their south borders like Israel ,yes constructing civilian projects is important but in few days all these construction projects from bridges, houses, hospitals ...etc were damaged totally because the billionaires of Lebanon like El-Hariri family didn't care to buy one single anti air fighter missiles from the junk yards of the Ex-soviet republics !!The blame of El-Seniora cabinet ,who only concern now is to find who really killed El-Hariri and didn't care to enforce his army. All the military experts were scared that with the departure of the Syrian Army Israel would invade Lebanon again and that is really what happened , Israel didn't and doesn't want to open the Syrian front because then the real hell will be opened in the middle East . The blame is to be put on the Lebanese politicians who didn't listen to Micheal Own ,this man suggested merging Hezbollah in the army and giving more finance to it to enforce it but they didn't listen because Lebanon is a civilian peaceful civilised country and Civilised civilian Peaceful countries don't need armies because they got no enemy

They were wrong because they got an enemy

anyway concerning the blame , I am with Fouad El-Seniora when he said that he passed the Blame stage , it was in Al-arabya interview from two days, he is right because if we started the game of blame ,we will find that those who blame Hezbollah got more blame then it

  1. I totally agree with your defence of Hisbollah. Everything you said makes perfect sense. However, i think that there is a point everyone misses when they get to talk about the current crisis, and that happens to be the heropic unprecedented in the midle east iraqi resistance. They are not just fighting against the full might of the Anglo-American war machine and holding the spreme power in the universe at a stall. going against information technology based weopnery with rpgs and Klashinkoves!!!. But against iran backed shiaa militants as well.

If you check all the resistance web sites like albasrah.net, you will find them supporting hisbollah wholeheartedly. Nasarallah on the otherhand blames the resistance for killing the traitor occupation collaborators?????? and never mentioned a single word about their ferocious herpoic resistance. The Arabic eagles are not just fighting the US , they are fighting iran and the arab media as well. Al jazeera for instance relies on American army resources in their news and not onthe iraqis, Despite of their clear objectivity of the resitance reports. The american death toll is rising drastically in April 78 were killed 500 wounded according to dubious american resources, In May 76 killed 500 wounded, in June 62 killed 500 wounded in july 47 and the number of wounded hasnt been declaree yet. The recent decline in American casualties was because, the iraqui resistance heroes directed their attention to fighting the persians and their agents who made use of the war in Lebanon to crack down on the sunni arabs and launch a persian spurred dirty ethnic cleansing campain. i can't claim that i get the whole picture nor do i suffer from a conspiracy theory madness. Never the less the coincidence here does worth some deep reflection .

The iranian agents in iraq like Hakim and Sadr call for jihad against israel and forget about the Americans. Arabs in iraq get killed for publishing anti iranian posters.

we all betrayed that country the iraqis prtotcted Demascus in 1973, the highly effcient iraqui fighter planes bombed the israelis in Sinai. 5 milion Egyptian used to work in Iraq. what did they get frim Egypt and syria ?

Collaboration with Americans and israelians in 1990 to destroy the sole Arabic country capable of possessing actual resources of power.

we have been crying over Andulysia for 600 years. i wonder when would we come round and remeber the Bahgdad of haron al rashid, Abou gaafar al Mansour, al moatsem , al-Amin wa al Mamoun!!!!!!

  3. @Amr el-abyad ,sorry but my problem I don't understand any thing in the Iraqi issue , I don't know who is who ? I don't know who is the bad from the good ? I don't know who is the resistant from the terrorist
One thing I admire in the Lebanese ,I didn't find in the iraqi unfortunately tolerance and unity
The iraqis hold the key to their salvation

Don't get me wrong but when we speak in Iraq ,it is kind of foggy

by the way for history the 5 million egyptians who worked in Iraq hundred thousands of them returned in coffins thanks to Saddam this is something i heard from Iraqis themselves, plus the Iraqi fighters didn't bomb the Israeli bases in Sinai but in The Golan hights , for god sake what did our great hawk did from Air strike in 73?
Last I wish the Iraqi people see how the Lebanese people react , the Lebanese politic arena is worst than the Iraqi arena by degrees yet the people won't accept to be puppets in the hands of others

@tarek , I am glad and thanks , in fact i believe that many believe in this and what to let it out

  4. Please accept my appology for not thanking you for your highly informative site, and systemetic analysis of the current affairs in the middle east. Your blogger has become like the morning newspapers for me.

Now if you would allow me to talk more about the iraqi issue i would be more thankful. Am going to elborate more on that issue, because i feel i is a moral duty for all the arabs. Am not a military man, but i could , try to spread what i think is just and honest as far as possible. I can see that you your sense of morality is quit admirable. you are dedicated, consitant, patritic. furthermore, what makes your blogger really special is your good systemtic analysis that is based on sheer facts.

That's why am trying to win you over to the iraqi case.

In the diaries of saad El-shazly and Abdel Ghany el- Gamsy they both stated that two iraqi squadrons were working effciently on the canal front. El- shazly mentioned in his al-jazeera interview, that the infantry units were asking for the iraqi squadron in particular, he also added that one of our week points in that war was air power. In spite of the courage of the Egyptian pilots, they were not a match for the israeli air force for many reasons, including lack of resources, inadequate training, and an incompetent leadership haaaaa.

About the Golan Front, Iraq sent an armoured division at a cruisal moment that stopped that israeli advance towards Demascus, then counter attacked under israeli superirity in the air.

about the Egyptian coffins, you have to remeber that everywhere you find the good and the bad. And most of the egyptians in iraq were of the less developed portion of our population. Therefor frictions with soldiers coming back from the fighting the Persian enemy was a must. However, the Egyptian intellectuals, technicians, engineers and military experts were treated like kings in iraq.

Sadam Hussien came out on T.v in 1990 to declare that whoever dares to come nearby an Egyptian will be severly punished.

about puppet thing of course i blame the iraqi shiiates for accepting to be puppets in the hands of the persians. But you have to remeber that the dimagogic hakim, Sadr and Sistany, are taking advantage of the willayet al faqeeh principal in shiism to push forward an Iranian agenda!

As you well know of course, the majority of our people all over the Arab world are poor and simple people who can be easily influenced by a twisted religous discourse.

Now when it comes to who is against who ?. it is simpler than what you think. whoever is fighting the Americans and the Persians is a hero . whoever collaborates with either the Americans or the Iranians is a low life traitor.

Dont fall in the perso-zio-American trap. They are doing their best to distort the image of the iraqi resitance. all the foreign correspondants were kicked out of iraq, so that they can monopolise and distort the heroic actions of the arab resistance.

the resitance is only targeting occupiers and persianised iraqis.

    thanks for listening to me

  5. @Amr, thanks very much for your words about me and my blog it is my honor
abou the information you said well concerning the Iraqi support to us in 1973 well you mentioned sources I can't say in anything about them , two names I must respect to the degree I raise my hat to them
you know concerning the Iraqi issue, I wish it is simple as you explain about the Persian agents , I am not defending Iran heavens forbid ,but when I look to the overall issue I can understand why they are interfering in the iraqi arena ,simply in day and night they found the americans on their Iraqi borders , already the americans are on the Afghani borders , now for two sides , with lots of threats , it is their national secuirty now ,it is similar like Darfor's issue in some way , Egypt doesn't want an international force on its southern borders
about the resistance ,I believe something one of the backdraws in iraq there is no single united resistance for example like Hamas or Hezbollah to make the people support it and give it some kind of rightful existance ,I don't know how to explain it , but may be because the Iraqi people seemed to me less educated then the Lebanese because of the long time under Saddam rule ,they lost their ability to determine their future and what they want , they are desperate for sure , for hell to a bigger hill
as I said in Lebanon politicans are worst then Iraqis they are not agents to america or Iran more to themselves , changing 180 degrees acccording to their moods like Gombalt Basha
In iraq I believe there are three kinds of leaders , not politicans , the one with the americans bad one , one with the Arabism our favorite , one with Iran not because of treasome like the American, but they represent a religious stream , the Islamic nation , , they are not that bad like the americans or their spies
don't forget the majority of the iraqi people are shiites
sometimes I feel that the United States reached to what it wants from Iraq to divide it to small sectors according to religion and race
I believe the Iraqi Shiite Resistance like the one in El-Basra must wake up and do like Hezbollah, do u know that there are communists fighting among Hezbollah
same thing for the Sunni Arab resistance
    forget their difference
already we and iran seems to have one enemy targeting us and that's the American administration who look to us muslims fasicts
thank again Amr and feel like home

  6. the post is a bit too long for me to fully digest your hatred of israel. anyway, i did want to point out one thing, about the kidnapped (or captured...) hamas leadership. you may or may not be aware, but the hamas terrorists continue to fire into israeli territory, and still hold gilad shalit. it is as simple as in lebanon - if the appointed government cannot control the terrorist within it, it shall suffer the consequences.
about the blame game - as far as i understand, al-manar is already celebrating the great 'win' of terrorist group hezbollah, and its dead-and-he-knows-it leader, nasrallah. the only conclusion i can reach of this try to twist the public opinion, is that in fact terrorist group hizboallah understands it is to blame for bringing the wrath of israel into lebanon.
i also think i read between the lines of previous posts you think they did win, i suggest you read this post.

  7. tsella, I read the link , and i also see the facts
I am not the kind of a girl that can be fooled with Al-Manar's propogenda , certainty not , if you are an old reader for this blog you would know that , ironically Al-Manar is the last channel I watch in the time of the war , I watch if you have Al-jazeera ,I assume you heard about and NewTv ,ANB and Future
concerning the points in the post you linked , it is very interesting
I will answer back may be tomorrow inshallah by sure I will but now I want to go to sleep ,we are having the same timing
but before I go if you believe that you are winning why did Halutez change the commander of the north ?? didn't Haartez or something described him like the commander of the south sector in 1973 responsible for Sinai
    this one
Come back tomorrow inshallah I believe it is vacation

  8. dear zeinobia, i'm not saying you are influenced by al-manar propaganda - i'm saying that propaganda is only used to sway public opinion from the truth - hezbollah is responsible. and from my point of view, if you really want someone top blame, take siniora. he should have either step down or disarm hezbollah. his inaction towards hezbollah killed who knows how many civilians, despite israel effort to minimise civilain casualities.

  9. about halutz - there are several reasons. but i think the main reason is that they had internal quarrels on whatever reasons. don't forget halutz is aiming to go into politics, and this war did damage his record, and he acting accordingly, to do whatever he thinks can fix that.

    have a good night.
